What's New on the Farm?
This year we are expanding the number of garden plots we are planting. Last year we had 7 plots each with about twelve 100 foot beds. This year we are going to add 4 more plots giving us additional space to expand strawberry, potato, onion, garlic, and broccoli production.

Currently we grow under three 100 foot caterpillar tunnels. This indoor growing space is essential to our early and late production. This spring we are adding an additional 100 foot tunnel and a smaller 50 foot tunnel. The 100 foot tunnel will be used to add additional tomato and pepper growing space, The smaller 50 foot tunnel will be used mostly for fresh herbs and a few specialty crops that require more attention such as hot peppers and bok choy.
Farming is tough to do alone, this year we will be adding additional partners to our farm team.
Betsy was around a little last year and has agreed to play a bigger role this market season. She is in charge of the greenhouse and pre-production, the herb house, and hopefully will help us add mushrooms to the membership offerings.
Stephanie is a new addition this year. She will be in charge of post-production, prepping for markets, and is also passionate about animal husbandry. She will be helping us to streamline our egg production and getting us ready to offer specialty meat packages in the near future.

Introduce yourself if you see Betsy or Stephanie helping out at a market or on the farm.

We have also started making cheeses and hope to add some incredible cheeses once we master our skills.
We love having a large selection of vegetables for you. This year we are adding a few new crops we haven’t done in the past. We are going to be adding parsnips, fennel, leeks and we had some success with artichokes and okra last year so we will be expanding the planting on these two items. Hopefully you will see these incredible new flavors at future markets.

The orchard expansion continues for 2024. This year we are adding 25 plums, 20 peaches, paw paws, storage apples, kiwi berries, and more raspberries. Our friend Izeck has been helping out with the grapes and will be expanding the vineyard as well as caring for the kiwi berries.
